this isn't the most accurate way, but you could create an index page
of all of the articles, listing title, author, etc. and submit this
page to the search engines. when the search engine spiders your
site, they'll find this page and catalog it. when someone does a
search for a particular article, the search engine will return the
index page (not the actual article page). you might want to check
http://www.phpbuilder.com/. i remember reading an article on this
very topic, but i haven't had the chance to actually apply it.
since you're going to be doing a database-driven site, it'll also be
a smart idea to include a search engine of all of your articles so
that people can just search your site, without having to resort to
google or another search engine to find what they're looking for.
