+1 In addition, of the remaining 996, 990 of those are free for all link
sites that don't have much traffic/value at all.
It pays to see how you are listed on the biggies, set up personas of your
audience and cater your *site* to those personas.
Above all, search engine listings is a game of rapidly diminishing rewards.
Beware: don't get obsessed with making your site #1. Your time probably
isn't worth it.
Thus, it stands to reason that if your time isn't worth it, pay someone else
to. Be forewarned: these submission services are as what was stated before
-- nothing more than submissions to Billy Bob's Link-0-Rama. Little or no
intrinsic value to your site. The best rankings come from the
content/title/meta tags of the pages themselves -- not from 990 icky sites
with low link analysis value (for Google).
