-- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] what about data flow diagrams: http://www-courses.cs.uiuc.edu/~cs427/present/pf2/pf2.ppt http://www.saintmarys.edu/~psmith/417act8.html; http://www.career-ahead.co.uk/bus.htm seem to be simple enough for a client to understand, as it gives a broad brush description of the core process, related entities (users, suppliers...) and data structures. The only problem is that it does not describe decisions, timings etc. for that use simple flow charts. A good book I'm using: Information Systems: a Management Perspective by Steve Alter if you go to a library its chapter 3, but reading the book makes sense eventually ;-) regards --
