the username/pass i am using is valid and is of the network domain. i
don't get the rest of your paragraph. what's this with a computer
name/network with the same name as a domain? explain that please.

permissions and security are not an issue yet since i cannot even see
the computers. and i cannot ping any other machines unless i add them
manually to the HOSTS.
what do you think?
