Working in RH 7.3 with an External USR Modem 5686E for connectivity. Does anybody have experience in addressing these through hardware? Need to set autoanswer registers in NVRAM External modem is used as internal modems require reboot if they hang, to answer the question why I don't use an internal. Probably need to take this offlist <tip type="modems and Linux''> Linux requires hardware addressable modems to enable them. Internal and new modems do not seem to have drivers or configuration files for anything but windows. Winmodems and software configurable modems will not work. </tip> the head lemur News: http://www.lemurzone.com/news/ Interviews: http://www.lemurzone.com/pixelview/ blog: http://theheadlemur.typepad.com/ Community: http://www.evolt.org
