Well, I do bits and pieces for friends, family, etc., as well as the odd
client, and it's certainly worth it to have control over the hosting. What
you'll find with a lot of hosting providers that have reseller accounts,
they are 100% not interested in dealing with YOUR customers -- e.g. if a
server goes down, it's obviously their problem to fix, but you'll be the
one dealing with your own customers about it -- the host will just deal
with you.
Therefore, good support is crucial. You'll also want to be fairly
tech-savvy, so you can help with DNS setup/domain registration/e-mail
quirks/whatever -- if you're not a tech-head, such reselling may not be the
way to go.

Been a customer of http://www.matrixreseller.com/ (reseller arm of
http://www.vortechhosting.com/, using H-Sphere control panel) for over 12
months now, absolutely ecstatic with prices and service. Your mileage may
vary, etc. etc.
Cheers,
Paul
