and those stats don't pick up people like me that have triple displays at
1024*768 but browse with Opera or Firefox with side panels open so that
the browser window is around 800px wide.
and on my Laptop, which is some obscure (1400?) size I usually size
windows to 800*600 to have more on screen at the same time.
It has to be said also that with reasonable amounts of browser chrome the
maximum size for a 1024*768 res page is 955x600
