greetings all,
i'm having some trouble viewing png transparency in IE 6.
it seems that there are several ways to make IE6 behave properly, with the
alpha filters etc - but on all the sites i visit, none of them work in MY
browser!
for instance, quirksmode.org/css/opacity.html
when i look at the page, under the word Example - all 3 purple boxes are
identical, where they are supposed to have various opacity in anything
ie5.5+
also, when i search in google for anything about png transparency not
working in ie6, all i get is hundreds of pages about the solution and the
fun everyone is having using this - but not a lot of luck finding out why
MINE doesn't work!
i have xp with sp2, and i keep ie6 as a test browser for myself, so
changing to ie7 is not the angle i'm looking for here. i looked at my dll
files for dxmsft.dll, and dxtrans.dll and they are up-to-date.
any advice? thanks in advance
trevor
