I think it's a bit daft for *anybody* to cast doubt on the idea that
the US process is heavily stacked against third-party involvement.
The names of exactly two parties are cast in stone in the legislation
which governs the (eg) primaries of those exactly-two named parties.
A Democrat polling at 1% gets a spot in the presidential debates, but
an independent polling at 14% is barred.
Two points to Matt.
But suggesting that Obama's campaign gets its money 'the same way' as
McCain and/or the RNC in the face of overwhelming evidence to the
contrary...
One point away again, imho.
