[thelist] Apache and Client Certificates

To all the evolters in the house,

Have any of you all tried or have used certificate based client
authentication in Apache. Example: I e-mail Joe Bob a certificate that I've
minted with my in-house certificate server. Joe Bob installs the certificate
into his browser and requests a secure page on my site. Joe Bob's browser
sends his certificate which is read by my Apache server and decides that he
has the proper credentials and is allowed access.
