I've worked it out, thanks to NS's javascript log
(type 'javascript:' in the location field to see
non-fatal errors - works in NS4.5 for Mac anyway):

JavaScript Error: http://www.easyweb.co.uk/elemental/resources/ns_fix.js,
line 19:
access disallowed from scripts at http://www.funkmusic.co.uk/lineup/ to
documents at another
domain.

So although the page calling the (external) script is on
my easyweb server, because the frameset is at funkmusic,
NS considers the scripts to be on another domain.

Cute.

I tried moving them to the funkmusic server, and
JS still considers it another domain.
JavaScript Error: http://www.funkmusic.co.uk/resources/tooltips.js, line
96:
access disallowed from scripts at http://www.funkmusic.co.uk/press/ to
documents at another
domain.

Double cute.

Cheers
Martin
