Just a quick opinion to throw into this mess :

There is no ( repeat: NO ) danger in the Internet whatsoever. This is
the same kind of thinking that is behind such childish thinking as: " the
devil made me do it " or "guns kill people, not people". Please. Grow
the hell up before you get on the internet, but don't ruin it for other
people because you lack enough self-discipline or responsibility to
adequately conduct yourself in life. Or to put it another way: if you
want to use the internet for things that are detrimental, fine. You can.
I can't stop you, and I don't want to stop you from /using/ the Internet
to /LEARN/. The minute you take actions that are detrimental to society,
however, society will react against you ; this is the social version of
the action->reaction principle. If you can't deal with the fact that your
actions carry responsibilities with them, then you shouldn't even be
allowed out of the basement, let alone on the internet.

( This opinion is biased and arrogant. It probably will offend people.
I did not even read the article, but instead read portions of the replies
; therefore, certain portions may not deal adequately or correctly with
the article or discussion. This does not eliminate their validity, but
only makes me look reactionary. I can deal with it. :-) )
