I think we'll eventually work out an etiquette for when *not* to answer
the phone. I think folks with cell phones just don't think about it.
I've heard horror stories of people in for a job interview answering
their cell phone and having a conversation! And we've all been annoyed
by beepers and cellphones in movie theatres.
We need to develop a sense of courtesy and etiquette about these technologies.
Speaking of etiquette:
Alan shamelessly trolled:

That was a lame troll. You shoulda added:
"Mac vs. IBM"
"which is better golive or dreamweaver"
"emacs vs. vi"
"WYSISYG vs. hand-coding"
"BSD vs. Linux"
"Microsoft vs. Netscape"
"Britney Spears vs. Christina Aguilera"
And maybe some religious and spelling errors. :-) :-)
( OH - WHAT'S A TROLL, SOME OF YOU ASK? )

To your point though - I must, sir, respectfully disagree. If you're
thinking and developing in terms of PCs you're not properly hedging your
bets. The web is not a screenshot. The web is an information medium -
and though we develop in HTML for two mighty browsers right now - we
need to think of code that works in multivariate situations, and
multiple browsing environments.

MMMMMMMMM. Cool. For other downloadable books check out Project
Gutenberg. It's very cool.

Look - here's Moby Dick!

The web will be everywhere - and it won't always be sitting behind a CRT
and a keyboard. Think about it.
