Heard on internet news radio about a similar case
involving Volkswagon and a company called
Virtualware (I think)... because Volkswagon wanted
their domain... :P
Volkswagon lost the initial round of litigation, but
the impact of the suit has had severe impact on the
other companies business. The CEO was very clear-
Volkswagon is going to put them out of business
simply because Volkswagon has the resources to continue
the suit indefinately, while this suit drains Virtualware's
cash reserves and causes their partners and customers
to stay at arm's length.
Somehow Virtualware lost a recompensatory suit against
Volkswagon and NetworkSolutions, despite this ruling.
