[thelist] Stop Word, Excel, PDF loading into browser

Hi all,

Is it possible to provide Word (.doc), Excel (.xls), and PDF documents for 
download/save, rather than display within the browser chrome?

I have a customer who wants CVs of contractors available for download.  I 
want people to be able to save them to disk, to take them away with them.

At the moment I have a message "To download/save, right click and select 
'Save Target As..'" (or save link as for NN).  Thats a pain, is there a 
better way?



And if there isn't, whats the equivalent of right-click on the Mac, to 
access the Save option?


Surprised I haven't run into this problem before,
