[thelist] Stop Word, Excel, PDF loading into browser

Just a thought.

You could pipe the file via a cgi to the user and use a browser sniffer
to alter the content type & file extension if the browser was IE.
Possibly append a 1 to the file extension so that it would be called
sample.doc1 thereby confusing ie. The danger is that it may confuse the
user also.

Is it my sickness or the sickness of MS that is making think of these
things???
