[thelist] image blur on resize

	I used to know how to do this, but it's been so long since I've
needed to, I can't get it to work.  I have an image (the Win95/98 logon box
for those that know it) which is 488x190 pixels @ 96 pixels/inch, currently
in BMP format.  Because of the size of the page on which it is to reside, I
need it down around 350px in width.  Obivous problem, though - when I resize
the image in Photoshop - the res goes to hell and it blurs out.  Still
readable, but annoys me enough to fuss with it.
	I've tried copying and pasting the image contents into a new
document with a higher res, fussing with all those settings.  But I can't
get it to keep a good, readable resolution at a smaller size.  Any
suggestions?
