if you wanna play with HP Printers
Make the HP Driver Page Your Start Page.
 do not attempt to chain HP Printers together.
do not attempt to have a laserjet and ink jet on the same machine
do not pass thru a HP across an external Zip Drive
use only IEEE 1244 approved cables
do not believe the screen when you uninstall HP Drivers
do not have a HP Printer on your system when doing a Clean win98 install
(you will be sorry-windows has a toy called the Version Control Manager that
installs windows drivers all over the registry)
on multiple printer systems, Install the HP dead last!
pass thru electronic cable boxes will work with Epson, Cannon and Okidata
tractor feed printers* sometimes
(see cable recommendation above)
run your software
 go to the HP Driver Page
update your drivers
run your software
etc.

when they work they do produce a very nice image.
