That's correct, I'd rather a script die ungracefully with an untrapped 
error than corrupting a database.

I was just pointing out that MySQL's lack of foreign key support doesn't 
reduce functionality. It just makes things less safe.

(on a side note ..  i wonder *why* mysql doesn't support foreign keys..)
