Hi Michiel,
It feels wrong for *me* to say thanks for the offer for
two reasons; 1) although I suggested this 'project', it's
not just mine - it's really for everyone (or anyone who
has either no contract or an inadequate one and wants
a quick copy-and-adapt-it solution), and 2) I can
see my own role in it disappearing as and when
more experienced evolutionaries (such as yourself)
come on board.
God, I love the spirit of this list!
For those awaiting any concrete development on
this - I've sent young Mr Burns my first draft, and am
awaiting his initial appraisal. I suspect he'll think
I'm totally bonkers, and secretly hope he'll find time
to pick up the baton himself with the article he
promised us, eh Martin ? :-)
I have this fantasy scenario in my head that all the big
guns who have commented on this thread (you know
who you are!) are secretly collaborating off-list to do
the thing right!
The truth is I'm not really experienced enough, either
in web technologies, or the business & law of design to
do the content all on my own (and I fear it would be a
monumental undertaking - particularly if 'we' are now
visualising a comprehensive pick 'n' mix type thing).
Maybe one of you project management gurus out
there could suggest a method for co-ordinating this,
and then once a skeleton has been mapped out and
requires fleshing, I could add my suggestions at the
brain-storming the various clauses stage.
Like I said at the start: - "It was just my imagination,
Running away with me!"
