[thelist] Am I going mad with this White Paper?

Can someone with experience of building sites
from templates & database (not unlike our own site):

(beware of linewrap).

Am I going mad, or is it clearly saying that (assuming
that SSIs won't do) you need an application server like
ColdFusion, or ASP to extract the data & merge it
with templates before booting it out of the back door?

It seems to me that the Interwoven product gets the content
into the database, but doesn't get it back out again.

One of our senior tech people is swearing blind that
this isn't the case.
