howdo
this must be the first query I've made since I joined in March last year ...
:)
i have a frameset - "contents", "topbar" and "main". I want a javascript in
"contents" to get the current URL (location) of "main", no matter what it
is, so that I can parse it inside "contents" and munge it into something
shorter (i.e.; without the protocol, server name, and a select amount of
path info, which will change as the site moves from dev to production
servers, and i don't like hard coding).
I'm trying to load a lot of scripts from an external .js library loaded in
the frameset page itself, so that I can reference them from anywhere as
parent./scriptname/ and obviously i'd like to load any script from an
external file, but if i have to have it in the page itself, it's no big
deal. can anyone think of a solution? If someone's done it already, even
better - can i 'borrow' stuff pleeeeeeeease!? ;)
I'd tip, but I'm tired and still getting hassle for another project i've
just finished (not web stuff) so i'll owe. :)
cheers'en
