What would ya'll say is an okay size for a photo-quality jpg file? 20KB?
i have a bunch of high quality images in TIF format, which I've converted to
JPEGs in Photoshop, saving at Quality 8 and using Baseline ("Standard") as
the format. I know cranking the image quality down will lower the size, but
these are really nice photos that I want to keep a good res. But if 20KB or
so isn't too bad for a good quality jpg (I'll only have one max per page,
along with some general GIF graphics), then I shouldn't have to worry about
it.
So basically, I'm not asking how to further optimize the images, I can dig
that out of list archives or elsewhere. I'm just after feedback on
acceptable image size.
thanks
Aaron :)
