I'm one of the newbies coming over from monkeyjunkies (and even though that 
list has gotten a reprieve, I'll probably stay here as well), and I have to 
say, the old 4-link footer seemed much more robust and useful--especially 
since I find evolt fairly hard to navigate in its current version (many of 
the category names don't seem to hold a lot of meaning and seem more than a 
little arbitrary--and it renders pretty badly in my most-used browser 
config: IE 4.5 Mac)

I'd vote for a return to the old footer.
