i can't really troubleshoot PWS without standing there with a 
religious icon and sacrificial copy of MS Bob, but have you made 
sure that you are installing and enabling the ASP components?  is 
the web server working otherwise?

otherwise, at work i have development servers, but when i do 
personal stuff at home, i turn on my cell phone, dial up, and open 
an FTP window... since the stuff i do is pretty basic for my 
personal stuff, i don't have to worry about crashing the server...
