Your IIS is probably configured for NT-Challenge/Response, if I 
remember correctly. That only works with IE. You need to change it to 
... Basic Authentication. (found an IIS machine here at the office, 
otherwise I really would have been guessing). Allow Anonymous is just 
what lets people view the site w/o a password at all (ie, regular web 
page).

Is this for yourself for testing, or are you serving to the web?

I learned by guessing, so I can't help there. There weren't any good 
doc books at the previous job where I was using IIS, so I just did 
trial and error.
