Right, since the commmercialization of the Internet the private sector
has given us: spam, banner ads, porn sites, tracking and profiling
capabilities that would make Big Brother blush, efforts to balkanize the
web (i.e. the recent furor over iCrave and the push to have territorial
filtering), UNCITA, the Digital Millinium CopyRight Act, blinking text,
punch the monkey, uh...have I forgot any other wonders?
