It depends on how transitory the information is.

The Word HTML cleaner in DW3 is pretty good, and I've used it for stuff. I
also run it through Tidy and a validator just to make sure.

I did the zoning ordinance for a city all by hand (120 pp. printed) because
I know it will be there and looked at by a lot off people.  I've done other
stuff that was for a very limited audience using the Save as HTML option and
ruthless filtering.

I guess it depends on how important it is, who's going to see it, how much
time I have and the nature of the document.  The right combination will make
me look for shortcuts.
