Sorry, I can't test this... the copy of Photoshop on my office machine is
the demo version, so I can bring graphics in there, but not out.

I'd recommend the Fireworks newsgroup, where Mark Haynes and the rest of
the gang are set up for tests to a range of other apps. As I understand the
situation, here are the steps they'd be looking at:

1)  Open PS5.5, either platform, new doc.

2)  Make brushstrokes to cover the canvas.

3)  Make any closed path.

4)  Save as PSD, open in Fireworks 3 either platform.

If I pulled the wrong minimal steps, please edit it. Otherwise, the
Fireworks newsgroup would be a better place to get that PSD structure
tested, thanks.
