i must've been confused - surfing another site at the same time, and assumed
that the error was from the slashdot window.

but with other sites, it's the same situation that laurel talked about. you go
to a page, and it will run off to an error looking for doubleclick. i've seen
this happen before when the url of the banner script isnt blocked. is it
something to do with an iframe or ilayer or whatever they're called?

similar to the netscape CSS problem - if your CSS file is missing, instead of
loading the page without a stylesheet, netscape instead goes to a 404 (because
it can't find the CSS)...

yes, i am aware of adfu and have known about it for a long time. excuse my
confusion re above.
