[thelist] bad JavaScript alert use

don't click the 'View Online Catalog' link/image unless you want to 
download the 300k PDF, but if you don't you will miss the *largest* 
JavaScript alert box i have ever seen...

this is a prime example of letting the technology get ahead of the 
goal... i had to click through 3 pages of 'view online catalog' crap 
just to get here, and any one of them could have included this tome 
instead of the lack of text they actually contained...

not to mention this site told me i need Acrobat 4.0 (when 3.0 would 
do the job as well, but they refuse to save as an older version), a 
4.x browser, and 800x600 resolution (http://www.midwest-
microwave.ltd.uk/index.htm)...

just a little UI tip from me to you...
