This is pretty much what slashdot does for their frontpage, except the
just have a perl script running the the BG to update every minute or
so.  They do this for a lot of their articles too.  About the only thing
done dynamically anymore is showing comments for an article.  I know
doesn't quite get as much traffic as slashdot does[:)], but you might
want to take a peek at their sourcecode: http://www.slashcode.com.  Just
a thought.........
