Hi all -
Recently a client of mine decided they would like to sell a few (20 - 30)
items on one of the sites I've developed for them. While I've been hacking
away at designing sites for a couple of years now, I have yet to do the
e-commerce thang. Can anyone recommend a somewhat painless solution that
doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I've looked at dozens of e-commerce packages-
from the free to the very expensive - but haven't got a clue as to what is
worthwhile. One of the possible advantages is that we have our own dedicated
server on a Linux box running Apache 1.3.11. However, from what I've seen
from most of the commercial packages this setup isn't very compatible (most
seem to prefer an NT server and ASP). I've come across a few of the Unix
flavored apps (e.g., commerce.cgi) but haven't been able to find decent
reviews. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would greatly
appreciate it.
Regards,
Brian
