[thelist] search and replace on filenames

Hi all,
back on the list, have a job now and need to do this:
a search and replace on about 200 filenames (in Windows). I need to keep 
the last 5 letters of the name and the extension. (Yes, transferring to an 
old mac laptop).

Are there any tools that can do that?
Thanks for your help, I'd need it by tomorrow morning. If not, I'll ust 
have to go tru by hand.

Also, on the old mac system i need to do the same. Any tools? (I don't know 
ANY mac, so if there is an easy way, please talk me tru it...)

in PHP, when doing something hard like uploading images tru a form, look 
for a class that does it first. If you find one, you're in like Flinn!
