Perhaps a return volley in the battle of the beta browsers,
Microsoft has released a new beta of Internet Explorer 5.5 (PC platform,
English-language only). By my count, this is beta 2 (if you consider the
"Platform Preview" beta 1), but MS describes this as Beta 3. Not much new
here that I can see, but some bugs (especially related to frames and
iframes) have been stamped out. It seems quite stable, and is the primary
browser on one of my development PCs. For download or related info:

MS notes that IE 5.5 ships with 128-bit encryption as standard,
except for U.S.-embargoed "destinations". I believe IE 5.01 introduced
56-bit encryption as its standard strength not long ago, so apparently
encryption laws have been further relaxed in the meantime (I don't follow
encryption news religiously, so maybe this is common knowledge).

	Happy beta browsing :)
