[thelist] 3D images

Greetings! I have a client who is trying to understand software technologies
that enable the trasnformation of pictures
to "3D" images on web pages. Like if you wanted to feature a new car, being
able to click around and see it from different angles and such, or perhaps
similar to the virtual tours that real estate firms do for houses. Does
anyone know where to start in regards to this?
