I'm just guessing here, because I've only dabbled with FP, but I think it
might have something to do with the FrontPage extensions. Depending on which
kind of server you're files are on, the on-page coding for the extensions
would need to be different.
(Just in case you don't know, the FrontPage extensions are Microsoft
alternatives to certain kinds of server-side programming for things like
forms, and I think they're also used by the FrontPage themes. If your ISP
doesn't have them installed, there are certain things you won't be able to
do the FrontPage way.)
I know there are people on thelist with way more FP experience than I
(Martin?)...
