i know how tough looking at one's own code can be
finding rogue font tags is something i do every day, i help people on our
intranet who just learned frontpage
;o)

when you are answering a question on thelist, you don't really need to add
a tip, but of course they are welcome at any time, and will cover your butt
on those days when you simply must make a comment but your tip cupboard is
temporarily bare...

for debugging fonts, especially fonts applied by style sheets where you
think there may be an inheritance problem (e.g. BODY doesn't inherit to
TD), try setting your browser's default font to something outrageous and
wacky, like BeesKnees ITC or Bauhaus 93 -- you'll see in a second exactly
which portions of your copy are getting the browser's default font
