How is the web different from print or television in this manner?
Publication is publication, be it web or print, and information is
information?

Do you believe everything you read in print?

I understand why someone might trust "The Washington Post" or "The
Associated Press" but really, how reliable are any of these folks?

Any shred of trust I had in corporate media was shattered after the
WTO demonstrations. When demonstrators started to return to this
(very small but very active) community and began sharing their
stories and observations, I realized the extreme degree to which
corporate media slanted things.

Realize: Corporate Media is Corporate Media. It is not "people's
media." It is not a democratic system. Advertisements are their
bread and butter. Guess who has lots of money to buy advertisements
in media sources, or better yet to BUY media sources?

Not me.
