[thelist] Converting Access to Oracle?

Don't know about Cold Fusion, but I've had to make a few subtle changes to
my .asp code as I've switched from Access to Oracle. Haven't ported any
databases yet either. I guess my point is, in ASP, you'd probably have to
go back and change some stuff in your code after making the move.

Subject: [thelist] Converting Access to Oracle?
I'm a movin-on through the learning curve here, and suddenly, an
awful thought occurred to me.
Imagine I've invested 3.5 bazillion man-years in writing my
ColdFusion apps, and suddenly I want to (or must) use Oracle.
Can my Access 2k databases be easily converted, or ported to Oracle?
And will I have to modify my apps in any significant way?
Best case scenario: Ellison hates Gates enough that Oracle DB's can
easily and seamlessly convert Access DB's.
Worst case scenario: I can only export info, one table at a time, and
must rebuild entirely in Oracle, make thousands of subtlety ridden
changes to my queries and code. <shudder>
What brilliant thoughts emanate from thine craniums (cranii?),
greatest of experts?
(I'm really hoping that someone will confidently and knowledgeably
point to option one).
