It depends on monitor settings and what it shares the screen with.

I use the same color frequently. Surrounded by real greens, it looks brown. 
Next to the gray of a browser, and with the blue accents on your page, it 
looks green. Also, it looks greener on Windows and browner on Mac.

You forget. Color and hue are not determined in a vacuum. Our perception of 
a color depend heavily on what surround it
