I occasionally use InterDev, although I'm not a real fan of it. IMO,
it is primarily a web-design environment for those who use other Microsoft
programming environments (which I don't), such as Visual Basic, Visual C++,
etc. To me, it contains too many options unrelated to, and not enough
related to, actual web page design that I find it confusing and a bit
limiting. It does integrate well with Visual SourceSafe, though, and I have
come to really like its client-side debugging capabilities, so I give it a
+1 there. If you're going to be working in an NT/ASP environment, it's a
reasonable choice, though not a stellar one, I think.
Obviously, HomeSite is the front-runner among web-design apps, and
the choice of many PC-oriented web designers. It's the one I use primarily
at work (although the freeware HTML-Kit is my editor-of-choice at home).
However, my opinion of HomeSite has fallen quite a bit with its recent
releases (4.5, 4.5a, and 4.5.1), all of which, IMO, feel like betas with
some very annoying bugs. With HomeSite 4.01, it would have been on my
"recommend" list; now it's on my "caution" list. At least InterDev seems
comparatively stable.
