You are, as usual, correct - deprecated is the word which was lost, but
is now found.

No I have no URL, but You will notice that:

http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/index/elements.html

does not state the <b> tag as deprecated, however, I am certain that I 
have seen somewhere words which gave me info to the contrary.
