[thelist] SSL-izing Web sites

Listolapians,

I've been developing ecommerce applications for a while, but somehow always
got out of setting up the SSL side of things. Seems that I'll have to set it
up for a future client, so any URLs would be helpful. I went to the Thawte
site, and it wasn't too much help. Most of the vocab is over my head (damn
TLAs [three-letter abbreviations]). It seems I need to get secure server
software, then a certificate. Any pushes in the right direction would be
appreciated.

Why can't I just code? I hate this hardware/server_software crap. Eck.
