[thelist] Style sheet problem!

my question was a bit loaded, since i had seen this page in the past...

however, you aren't the first person to tell me <b> was deprecated in favor of <strong> or 
CSS-styling only... therefore, i was hoping you could tell me where you heard it...

there are enough people who think that <b> is deprecated that i'm guessing someone, 
somewhere (some pseudo-authoritative source) said that's the case...

so, if *anyone* knows where this mis-info popped up, i would love to know...
