the entire evolt.org site operates under a GNU public license... 
there is no copyright page because of that...

the only thing we hold to be completely unstealable is the logo 
(IMO, but the admin team is still fleshing that out)...

so, their application of a copyright to a GNU licensed piece of work 
is, um, against the GNU license agreement, and they at fault...

the reason a copyright statement has been left off is simply 
because we want to stress that everything on this site (and list) 
truly belongs to those who wrote it, not to evolt.org, not to Lycos, 
not to anyone else... inserting a copyright statement, no matter 
how clear, seems like it might confuse and alarm some... IMO...
