I just searched my DW2 help files, and there's no mention of the word
"deprecate" anywhere.  Is that a wind up, or is it really a Mac*
problem?

I would guess it's just a very common false assumption that because
formatting tags such as <u> and <s> have been deprecated along with
<font> and <center>, that <b> and <i> would have been too...  I
certainly thought they were until this thread.
