While I can understand your providers' reticense (sp?) to upgrade until
they are certain of the product's stability, I would like to point out that
I have been using PHP4 (in Beta form of course) since December last year to
run http://wapwarp.com search engine. Now I can't lay claim to this being
especially complex as far as sites go, but I've not had any trouble with
PHP's stability as well. I've also been using it on my development machine
at home.
Does your host have multiple servers? You could always see if they are
willing to upgrade on one server for those who want to make the switch.
