[thelist] Window names - Javascript

Hi all

Another simple one again. I'm sure this has recently been discussed but I'm
having no joy trying to find it in any of the list archives I'm on.

What is the name of the intial window opened by a browser?  I'm opening a
pop-up window and I want to reference a text area in the main window from
it.

Any help would be gratefully received.
