[thelist] CIW Web Certification

Greetings everyone!

I would like to know what Evolters think about CIW (Certified Internet
Webmaster) certification.  I am trying to figure out if I should go to a
school in KC called...gotta love this, PCU.  If you would like to check out
their website, go to http://www.pcukc.com/home.html .  Specifically, check
out the track I'm interested in for CIW- Site Design.  I feel I need
mentors, connections (i.e., networking), and a school type atmosphere.  I
know that I will continue to "self-study", but I'm wondering if any of you
think it's a total scam, unnecessary, necessary...any comments will do.
